James "Jim" Turley, 70, died Sept. 23, 2007, at Hospice House.
He was born Oct. 12, 1936, in Blue Rapids, the son of Charles Albert "A.C." and Ruth Elizabeth Baker Turley. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1955. a resident of Hutchinson since 1975, moving from Medina, Ohio, he was a salesman for Target Lighting, now known as Budget Lighting.
He served in the U.S. National Guard.
On June 15, 1955, he married Padgy Wanee Buesig, at Afton Church in Afton, KS. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Richard and wife Michelle, Inman and James and wife Wendy, Hutchinson; a daughter-in-law Cindy Turley Veverka, Medina, Ohio; his mother, Marysville; nine grandchildren, Amy and Joey,
Joshua and wife Somer, Ricky, Adam, Mikayen, Kirstie, Alex and
Damon; two great grandchildlren, Nadia and Vailyn.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Turley; his father, A.C. Turley; and a brother, Johnny Turley.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Blue Rapids, with Chaplain Mark Wiens presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Hospice House, both in care of the funeral home.
