SOUTH HUTCHINSON - James Lynn Young, 58, died Aug. 29, 2008, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus.
He was born Feb. 23, 1949, in Newton to John Charles and Evelyn Irene Baumann Young.
He was a 1967 graduate of Halstead High School and a retired truck driver for Dillons and Yellow Freight.
Survivors include: mother, Evelyn J. Young, Halstead; sister, Judy K. Stanley, Everett, Wash.; Companion, Pearl Hignight, Hutchinson and her children, Tricia Kirkland, Wichita, Justin Kirkland, Hutchinson.
His father James C. Young preceded him in death.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson KS 67501.
