Jami Renee Devore's Obituary
INMAN - Jami Renee DeVore, 40, died May 24, 2012, at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in Wichita.
She was born Oct. 29, 1971, in Ulysses to James and Firma Dreiling Carrithers.
Jami graduated from Stanton County High School in 1990 and from Kansas State University in 1994 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. A resident of Inman since 2000, she was a Para educator at Inman Elementary School.
On June 4, 1994, she married Galen DeVore in Johnson, Kan. He survives.
Other survivors include: son, Treyton Devore and daughter, Kirstan DeVore, both of the home; parents, James and Firma Carrithers, Windom; two sisters, Lori Carrithers of Wichita and Keri White and husband Will of Benton; grandparents, Vincent and Ellen Dreiling of Hays; two brothers-in-law, Leon DeVore and his wife Kara of Eureka and Jason DeVore and his wife Lynette of Lindsborg; parents-in-law, Richard L. and Penelope DeVore of Eureka; and grandmother-in-law, Ernestine DeVore of Eureka.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 111 N. Pine, Inman with Reverend Christina Edwards officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to the Inman Library or Stanton County 4-H Foundation, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
