Janet K. Ragland, 64, of Hutchinson, died Oct. 8, 2016, at her son's home in Gardner. She was born Oct. 11, 1951, in Hutchinson, to Marvin and Wanda (Kienzle) Ragland.

Janet graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1969. She was a dedicated in-home daycare provider for many years. After retiring from her in-home daycare, she worked for Meals on Wheels, in the kitchen.

Janet is survived by: sons, Jason Janzen and wife Jera of Santa Barbara, Calif., James Janzen and wife Nicky of Gardner, Jeffery Gore and wife Danielle of Emporia; seven grandchildren; sister, Jeannie Driskell of Cherryvale; sister-in-law, Vickie Ragland of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and companion, William Blick of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Roger Ragland.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Steve Brown officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Janet K. Ragland Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
