Janet Joan Roynon, 85, died November 2, 2024, at Pleasant View Home in Inman. She was born December 3, 1938, in Hutchinson, to Vernon Richard and Sadie Melvena (Glover) Phipps.

Janet graduated from Hutchinson High School. She worked as a silk screen printer at Lowen Corporation, Hutchinson.

She enjoyed quilting and gambling. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.

Janet was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

On December of 1978 she married Clarence Carl Roynon, in Windom. He survives.

Other survivors include: her children, Timothy (Rhonda) Crum of McPherson, Lesa (Richard) Ortiz of Plevna, and Laura (Paul Doeden) Shoulders of Minnesota; grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephanie, Joey, Ashley, and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Britney.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wayne Crum.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 7th, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1017 N. Washington St. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hutchinson Animal Shelter or Alzheimer's Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
