Janet C. Walburn, 85, died April 23, 2006, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
She was born June 20, 1920, in Ellsworth, the daughter of John and Helen Hemmert Maloney. She graduated from Ell-sworth High School. A Hutchinson resident since 1954, moving from Douglass, she was a homemaker.
Janet will always be remembered for her witty sense of humor, contagious laugh and unconditional love.
On Feb. 17, 1940, she married B.H. "Bernie" Walburn in Olathe. He died Sept. 16,1991.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerome and wife, June, Valley Center, and Cork and wife, Andy, Branson, Mo.; two daughters, Jan Wynn Moyer and husband, Don, Fort Calhoun, Neb., and Kristin Wilson, St. Louis; a sister, Lucille Jezer, Colorado Springs, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Dryden and Genie Esh.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Art Maddock presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of the funeral home.
