Janet Sue Winters, 81, died August 19, 2022, at her home. She was born February 15, 1941, in Pratt, to Robert and Cleo (Shives) Hammond.

Janet graduated from Coats High School in 1959, and Pratt Community College in 1961. She was a homemaker. Janet was a member of Bethany Church of the Nazarene.

On June 18, 1961, she married Kenneth Edward Winters in Coats. They shared 61 years together.

She is survived by: her husband, Kenneth Winters, Hutchinson; daughter, Deanna Underwood, Esbon; sons, Larry Winters (Terri), Spring Hill, Mike Winters (Jamie), McKinney, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Don Hammond; and son-in-law, Roger Underwood.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 408 N Kent, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 am to 8 pm on Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
