Janet Mariam (Woodall) Heitmann, 87, died April 21, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.  She was born February 11, 1934, in Hutchinson, to Lester and Maurene (Concannon) Woodall.

Janet graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1952. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, singing, and attending musicals and concerts. Janet enjoyed being a homemaker, but her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, Mom, Nana, GGma, and sister. Janet was a member of Unity Church of Wichita.

On December 26, 1952, she married Dan D. Heitmann, in Hutchinson. They shared over 68 years of marriage.

Janet is survived by:  her husband, Dan, of Hutchinson; children, Deb Sutton (Mike), of Fort Collins, CO, Bob Heitmann (Amanda), of Edwards, CO, Jill Norcross (Kelly), of Overland Park, KS, and Amy Hodges (Dee), of Severance, CO; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Barb Spicer, Karen Foyle, and Linda Ging.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Dick Woodall.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, with Art Handy officiating. Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet family and friends following the memorial service.
