Janice M. Cooke's Obituary
Janice M. Cooke, 77, died June 13, 2007, at Pioneer Ridge Care Center, Lawrence.
She was born March 19, 1930, in Dodge City, the daughter of Dr. Guy L. and Marion Brown Cowen. She graduated from Dodge City High School. A resident of Hutchinson since 1963, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.
On Dec. 3, 1961, she married William P. "Bill" Cooke in Medicine Lodge. He died March 3, 1998.
Survivors include: a son, Dan Hacker, Lawrence; a daughter, Terry Ensz, Olathe; a sister, Joleen Fromm, Dodge City; three grandchildren; and her guardian angels, Chris and Steve.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Pat Ault-Duell presiding. Friends may sign the book from noon to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Humane Society, in care of the mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
