Janice C. Wesley, 72, died Sept. 23, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 13, 1938, in Cunningham, the daughter of Wilbur James and Marion Stanton Spain.
A graduate of Cunningham High School, she was a waitress for 50 years, working at many area restaurants, including Hickory Gables and Brenda's Caf. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a member of The Father's House.
On June 30, 1956, she married Ray Jr. Wesley in Clovis, New Mexico. He died July 21, 2010.
Survivors include: daughter, Kathy Jefferson (Stephen) of Hutchinson; son, Chuck Wesley of Grants, New Mexico, daughter, Cindy Wesley and son Jim Wesley (Darlene), both of Hutchinson; sisters, Sharon Weve of Haven and Diane Pierce of Mt. Hope; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Wesley; and a sister, Sibyl Abbey.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at The Father's House, with the Pastor Quintin Moore presiding. Friends may call 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, with family to receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
