Janice E. "Jan" Witt, 58, died Aug. 11, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Aug. 3, 1948, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Wayne A. and Angeline V. Parmenter Stoughton. She was a 1966, graduate of Buhler High School and attended Salt City Business College. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, living a short time in Livermore, Calif., she was a homemaker. She had formerly worked at Thorne Care Center of Wesley Towers and previously as a U.S. Marshall in California.
She belonged to First Christian Church.
On May 15, 1981, she married Frank D. Witt in Hutchinson. He Survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Kevin Tinin, Hutchinson; grandson/son, James Wright, Hutchinson; three daughters, Angie Burdette, Buhler, Frankie Burdette and Cindy Boyd, both of Hutchinson; granddaughter/daughter, Dallis Boyd-Witt, of the home; mother, Angeline Stoughton, Hutchinson; other grandchildren, Kassidy Stubbs, Kristopher Rupp and Autym Scott; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne A. Stoughton.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Melvin Walton presiding. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
