Jann Robinson Komarnitzky, 82, passed away January 15, 2021, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.  She was born August 19, 1938, in Bessemer, MI, to Clifford A. and Grace L. (Robinson) Trethewey.

Jann graduated from Ironwood High School, Ironwood, MI, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.  She worked as a registered nurse and hospice care coordinator in Florida, prior to moving to Hutchinson.  Jann attended Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson.

She was a generous and loving person, and her family was always uppermost in her thoughts and activities.  Jann held several titles, but the ones that she cherished most were wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

On June 17, 1961, she married John Nicholas Komarnitzky, in Clinton County, IA.  They shared over 57 years of marriage, prior to his death on June 29, 2018.

Jann is survived by:  her children, Leslie (Brad) Specht of Hutchinson, Theodore (Melissa) Komarnitzky of Eden Prairie, MN, and Nicholas Komarnitzky of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Lauren, Addison, T.J., Briana, Alek, and Frankie; and great-grandson, P.J.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Cremation has taken place.  A private Celebration of Life gathering will be scheduled at a future date.
