Jannette F. Talley, 81, of Inman, died surrounded by family August 21, 2026, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born March 1, 1945, in Anthony, KS, to Yaroslav Jerome "YJ" and Zelphie (Paulk) Morawitz.
Jannette graduated from Wakita High School in 1964, and shortly after was wed to Larry Asper. They were joined in union for 11 years and had three children together. Jannette and Larry remained friends and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1992.
In 1977, she married Jerry Dean Talley. They shared 44 years together before his death on January 22, 2021. Jannette and Jerry were co-owners and operators of Sunflower Topsoil.
Jannette enjoyed crafting and woodworking beautiful objects to share with her family and friends. She made clocks, birdhouses, farm animal sprinklers, wine racks, and so much more. Jannette would carefully craft a new small log cabin every year to display their products at the Kansas Lawn and Garden Show. While Jannette enjoyed crafting, she favorite past time was spending time with her adored family.
Jannette is survived by: children, Tammy Pruitt of Neosho, MO, Patricia “Tish” (Rick) Smith of Partridge, Troy (Tina) Asper of Partridge; stepdaughters, LaVonna (Brian) Barratti of Sedgwick, Tammie (Jimmie) Parker of Neosho, MO; grandchildren, Jonathan (Samatha) Pruitt, Talisa McKinney, Cassie Covert, Amanda (Tyler) Eash, Lexi Smith, Paige McReynolds, Aaron Asper, Tyler (Taylor) Weppler, Logan (Breann) Weppler, Lynette (Bryce) VanWinkle, Melissa (Lucas) Olivias, Tallis Parker, Destiny Parker; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by: parents; son, Mark Allen Asper; great-grandson, Beau McCoy Weppler; sisters, Dolly Daines and Bessie Parks; brothers, Frank “Bud” Morawitz and Martin Morawitz.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be 3 p.m. at Manchester Cemetery, Manchester, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St. Hutchinson, KS 67501.
