Jarell Excell Reed, 28, of Wichita, died August 1, 2021, at his home. He was born September 15, 1992, in Hutchinson to Lavette Parker and Lana Reed.

Jarell had many different jobs, but was most proud of his work as a server and even talked about owning his own restaurant someday. While growing up his family attended Second Missionary Baptist Church in Hutchinson. He had a contagious laugh and a big smile. Jarell was the life of the party and always made an effort to brighter people's day. Some things he enjoyed include Rick and Morty, music, and reading, especially about Greek mythology.

Jarell is survived by: sister, Jasmine Troyer (Michael), Wichita; brother, Jamahl Reed, Texas; brother, Lavette Parker Jr., Junction City; sisters, Payne and Anita Parker, Junction City; aunts, Pam Reed, Melony Reed, Susanne Bastan, Margo Thrasher; grandmothers, Maryann Goldsby and Pat Reed; cousins, Jamin Raigoza, Bobby Raigoza, Preston Raigoza, and Tracy Harris; best friend, Abigail; two nieces, McKenna Troyer and Kali Troyer; nephew, David Brown III; nieces, Athena and Saniya Parker; and many other cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lana Reed.

Cremation has taken place.
