Jason 'Jay' Charles Faris, 28, died February 14, 2023, at his residence in Wichita, KS.  He was born January 8, 1995, in Lyons, KS, to Jason James Faris and Jacqueline (McCutcheon) Faris.

Jay graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2015.  After graduation, he moved to Wichita, KS, where he attended church because he had a tremendous faith in God.

Jay was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and friend.  He was an outgoing person who made friends very easily and he never knew a stranger.  Anyone who met Jay would say that he was a wholehearted and respectful young man.  Even though he had some struggles, he was a good person and a kind soul.

Jay is survived by:  his mother, Jacqueline Faris of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Sarah Faris of Hutchinson, KS; daughter, Charlie Armentrout of South Dakota; and uncle, Charles McCutcheon of McPherson, KS.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jason James Faris.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1008 N. Ford, Hutchinson, KS.  Cremation has taken place.
