Jaydon Mark Mattison, 28, died October 15, 2026, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born March 14, 1998, in Hutchinson, KS, to Mark Keith and Susan Lynn (Kitch) Mattison.
Jaydon attended Hutchinson High School, graduating in 2019. He found happiness in the simple things that made his life special, from the time spent with his family riding side-by-sides enjoying the outdoors, spending time on YouTube, listening to his favorite music, particularly country music, which he loved. His love for music was matched by his deep appreciation for flags, particularly the American flag. His favorite flag was never far from his side, accompanying him wherever he went and becoming a special part of who Jaydon was. He also found excitement in watching and chasing trains, always drawn to the things that sparked his curiosity and brought a smile to his face. Through Reins of Hope, he experienced the happiness and therapeutic thrill of riding horses and being a part of their family. Above all, Jaydon cherished the beautiful bond and time he spent with his best friend, Daisy, who was by his side for so many of life's adventures. Jaydon had a daring spirit and enjoyed the “dangerous things.”
Jaydon will be remembered by many for his big heart, kind soul, the genuine love he had for those around him, and his deep empathy for others. He had a special way of touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him, he always had a way of bringing light into their lives, and often putting a smile on someone's face simply by being himself. His kindness, warmth, and unique spirit will be deeply missed. Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared, the smiles he brought, and the memories he created will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jaydon is survived by: his parents, Susie and Mark of Hutchinson; brother, Bobby (Beth) Guy of Hutchinson; niece, Harper Guy of Hutchinson; nephew, Bodhi Guy of Hutchinson; sister, Daisy Raburn of Hutchinson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, JD Mattison and Hazel Jackson; and maternal grandparents, Bob Kitch and Alice Hartle.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Elliott chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
