Jean Lenore Kellogg, 96, died March 11, 2016, at the Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson. Lenore was born March 15, 1919, in Pretty Prairie, the daughter of Jude and Anna (Gump) Todd.
Growing up on a farm near Pretty Prairie, she was a graduate of Pretty Prairie High School, attended Southwestern College in Winfield, and remained closely affiliated with the Pretty Prairie community all her life.
She married Victor W. Kellogg on Jan. 19, 1939, in Hutchinson. Vic Kellogg died Aug. 14, 2011. Following their marriage, they moved to Pasadena, Calf., where their son Richard was born.
She and Victor worked for the U.S. Meteorological Service until 1952, when they moved to a farm near Arlington. In 1970, they moved to Hutchinson where Lenore worked as office manager for the former Haskard Construction Co.
She is survived by: son, Richard "Dick" Kellogg and wife Louise of Haren, The Netherlands; grandchildren, Pamela Kellogg of Waalre, The Netherlands and Michael Kellogg of The Hague, The Netherlands; her four grandchildren, Jasper, Coen, Celine and Jonathan. She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
