Obituary

Jean McCoy, 86, of Pretty Prairie, died June 3, 2022, at her home. She was born March 14, 1936, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Laurrant J. and Faye A. (Hagerman) Rollins.

Jean graduated from Wichita East High School in 1954. She worked as a secretary at Krause Plow in Hutchinson for 32 years, retiring in 2000. Jean then worked an additional 9 years at Orscheln's in Hutchinson. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jean's family meant everything to her. She loved shopping and buying things for others and had a weakness for shoes and purses.

Jean is survived by: her daughter, Kim Bontrager (Jay) of Pretty Prairie; grandchildren, Tyler Engle (Nicole) of Pearland, TX, Amy Piggee (Willie), of Fort Smith, AR; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Chloe, Nevaeh, Gavin, Emery; and several extended family members.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister, Frances Taylor; brother, Larry Rollins; and son, Mike Keeler (who died of Huntington's Disease and Jean was his caregiver for 27 years).

Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, at a later date. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
