Jeane Kitterman Smith's Obituary
NICKERSON - Jeane Kitterman Smith died March 3, 2009, at Sterling Presbyterian Manor. She was born in Pratt, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy Jean McElroy Kitterman.
She attended Hutchinson schools since the eighth grade. She had worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone for 15 years, then as a nurse aide at Grace and Hutchinson Hospitals for five years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Nickerson.
On Oct. 31, 1960, she married Donald E. Smith at Newton. Survivors include: son, Richard and wife Amy, Nickerson; daughters, Donna Chase and fiancé Arthur Crider, Hutchinson, and Jan Patrick, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Carly and Tanner, Brandi and Samantha, Tim, Christy, and Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren.
There are no services planned. Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
