Jeffrey R. Wegele, 48, died Sept. 5, 2006, at his home.
He was born June 30, 1958, in Great Bend, the son of Leslie Vernon and Doris Ann Cromer Wegele. He graduated from Skyline High School, Pratt, and received his A.A. from Hutchinson Community College. He was a resident of Hutchinson since 1989.
He belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: a son, Matthew Trey, Hutchinson; two daughters, Melinda M. Smith and Ashley Rachael Wegele, both of Hutchinson; his mother, Doris Ann Wegele, Pratt; a brother, Blaze Lance Wegele, Pratt; a companion, Jerrie DeRose, Hutchinson; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie V. Wegele; and his grandparents.
Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Pat Ault-Duell presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation will take place following the service.
Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Community Foundation MAP Program (Medicine Assistance Program) for mental health medication, in care of the funeral home.
