Jeri Ann King, 83, died Oct. 8, 2013, at her home in Nickerson. She was born April 2, 1930, to James Henry and Goldie Parrish King, in Miami, Okla.
She married Wilbur E. "Bud" King on March 3, 1970, in Kansas. He died July 3, 1998. Jeri loved camping, reading, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Survivors include: brothers-in-law, Lester Blizzard of Miami, Okla., James Pinson, Texas; a stepson, Tom King and wife Lana of Maize; grandsons, Jarod and Ryan King of Maize; 17 nieces and nephews; several great and great great-nieces and nephews including a very special niece whom she helped raise, LaDonna J. Landazuri and husband Alex of Lawrence; and a special and loyal dog, Peppar. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Jackie King; sisters, Virginia Blizzard, Clara Watson, Margaret Nusser-Oliver, and Wanda Pinson.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at a later date in Miami, Okla. Burial will be in Glen-Abbey Memorial Gardens, Miami, Okla.
