Jerry T. Kerwood, 62, died May 31, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Hutchinson, the son of Harry Eugene and Opal Leah Tadlock Kerwood.

He was a graduate of Nickerson High School, Nickerson. A resident of Burrton, he was an independent truck driver.
He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was an avid bowler, golfer and fisherman.

On Oct. 5, 1979, he married Becky Kensley in Hutchinson. She died Feb. 10, 2010. Survivors include: children, Carolyn Anderson, Newton, Robert and Michelle; mother, Opal Kerwood, Hutchinson; brother, Richard, Towanda; sisters, Glenda Kerwood, Hutchinson, Beverly Barkhurst, Derby, and Donna Hamm, Canton; two grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathan Bartley; and beloved pets. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Judith Warner.

Memorial graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Friday June 4, 2010, in Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson, with Pastor Larry Wedel presiding. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
