Jerry 'Eli' Sanders, 50, of Hutchinson, died October 20, 2020, at his home. He was born October 14, 1970, in Kingman, to Jerry and Marie (Jones) Sanders.

Eli graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1988. He was a salesman for Treasure Chest Gun Shop. Eli loved guns and he loved talking to people, which was perfect for his job. He was also a big fan of the Marvel comics and movies. More than anything, Eli loved to spend time with family and his dog, Tessa.

On December 28, 2011, he married Johnna Rene Jimerson in Las Vegas. They shared 28 years together.

Eli is survived by: wife, Johnna Jimerson, daughters, Brittany (James) Sanders, Keely DuBose, granddaughter, Xia Rockefeller, all of Hutchinson; brother, Scott Sanders, Lyons, Georgia; stepfather, Jay McCord, Utah; and parents-in-law, Connie and Richard Potter, Pretty Prairie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and best friend, Kenny Polton.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Carey Park Gazebo (located on the west side of the golf course).

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Eli Sanders Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
