Obituary

SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Jessie J. Donham, 90, died Aug. 2, 2006, at Mennonite Manor.

She was born Sept. 10, 1915, in Nowata County, Okla., the daughter of William and Della Tovey Gillespie. A resident of Hutchinson since 1959, she had worked at Hutch Bag-Co. and retired from R.L. Polk Co. After retirement she worked for Don's Friendly Tavern.

She belonged to Church of God, Women of the Moose Chapter 1371, American Vets Post No. 11 and Fraternal Order Eagle Aerie, No. 2550. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Bob Campbell Post No. 1361 and American Legion Lysle Rishel Post No. 68 Auxiliaries, all in Hutchinson.

In 1933, she married Howard Frantz. In 1950, she married Bill Donham. Both preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons, Doug Donham, Hutchinson, Jim Frantz, Tyler, Texas, and Larry Frantz, Wichita; a daughter, Jeanne Green, Partridge; a sister, Pauline Transue, Valeda; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Short and Art; and a sister, Vernice Palmer.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Lawrence Green presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
