Jessie L. (Moralez Pounds) Frost, 73, died Aug. 16, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 29, 1937, in Hutchinson, to Abundio A. and Amilia L. Cantu Moralez. Jessie was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was a Certified Nurse's Aide until her retirement in 1987.

On Nov. 5, 1985, she married David B. Frost in Miami, Okla. He survives. Other survivors include: a daughter, Carma Massingill, Hutchinson; three sons, Donnie Pounds, Hutchinson, David Pounds, Hutchinson and Eric Pounds, Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jessica Groves, Steven Green, Robin, Kamea, Tasia, Heather, Corey and Paige Pounds; 10 great-grandchildren, Briah Green, Cheyenne Ward, Chambria Green, Noah Groves, Kendra Groves, Alijah Green, Arianna Pounds, Kobane Swift, Gabriel Swift and Eli Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joe and Charlie Moralez; four sisters, Delores Widen, Juanita Stojinski, Mary McMillan and Carol Harrison.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Richard Haley officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
