Jewel Frances Neufeld, formerly of Hutchinson, died November 18, 2018, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born April 20, 1925, in La Junta, CO, the daughter of John and Zona (Johnson) Yehle. Jewel worked for many years as a sales clerk at the J.C. Penney department store and with her husband in his business, Jim's Safety Service.

On March 4, 1950, she married Raymond S. Neufeld in Hutchinson. He died November 30, 2002.

Surviving are: daughters, Shirley Neufeld, Hutchinson, Karen Neufeld, Charlotte, NC, Tina Winslow (Don), Normandy, TN; grandchildren, Lisa Horn (Patrick), Jeff McAdams (Jane), Ryan Neufeld (Jesselyn), Casey Winslow, Lexi Sohl (Craig); eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan Gisel (Dick), Hutchinson, Marilyn Wilhite, Oklahoma City, OK, Lynne Walborn (Cecil), Great Falls, MT, Lafaun Cranor, Iola; brothers, William Yehle (Ruth), Grants Pass, OR, Ray Yehle (Carol), Meridian, ID; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jewel was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; daughter, Marg McAdams; son, Steven Neufeld; great-granddaughter, Nicole Smith; sisters, Shirley Colbert, Beverly Yehle, Joyce Phipps; and brother, John Yehle.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
