Jewell B. Rowland, 90, died May 10, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson. She was born March 2, 1934, in Hinton, OK to Delphe D. and Oda Frances (Paul) Isbell.

On January 27, 1960, she married Bill Rowland in Miami OK. Jewell was a waitress at Skaets and Airport Steakhouse for close to 35 years. After retirement, you could find her and Bill eating lunch almost daily at Skaets, a tradition she continued even after his passing on July 21, 2019.  She enjoyed watching birds, gardening, baking and cooking, gambling and most of all she loved being a mom, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished spending time with each and every one of them. She was a faithful member of Union Valley Bible Church.

Jewell is survived by: sons, Barry (Joyce) Rempel, Randy (Mark) Rempel; step-daughters, Bilinda (Larry) Sharp, Sheri Gray, and Kris(Jerry) Dean; grandchildren, Nathan (Tomi) Rempel, Jeremiah (Amanda) Rempel, Suzi (Shawn) Frye, Traci (Nic) Smith, Pam Love, Luke (Amanda) Sharp, Laci (Bob) Chastain, Adam Sharp, Jason (Candice) Gray, Stephanie Gray and Jonathan Dean; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard Isbell, Ruby Borntrager and Betty McConnell.

Jewell is preceded in death by: her husband, Bill Rowland; parents; sister, Helen Crain; brothers, Sunny and Johnny Isbell; grandson, Jeff Dean; and great-grandson, Reid Stubbs.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm., Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Steve Hodgson presiding. Friends may sign the book Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family will greet friends Wednesday 12:00 p.m. until service time.
