Jim 'J.R.' Davis, 67, died June 16, 2018, in Wichita. He was born October 21, 1950, in Fowler, KS, the son of H.O. & June H. (Eaton) Davis.

Jim was a 1968 graduate of HHS, served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and was a retired pipeline welder.

He is survived by: daughters, Deanna Davis of Hutchinson, Kimberly Manuel, Kelli George and her husband Ben, all of Wichita; brother, Ralph of Evans, WA; sisters, Rosetta Walz of McKinney, TX, Ellen Beachy of Hutchinson, Donatti Meyer of Haven and Rebecca Lynch of Apopka, FL; grandchildren, James Jones of Wichita, Max Harbacek of Hutchinson, Claire & Camden Davis, Karli & Emilee George, all of Wichita. He was preceded in death by: his parents, brothers Dean and Rodney and a step-brother Will Davis.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at Elliott Chapel with Rev. Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Friends may sign the book at the funeral home and memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Kansas Honor Flight, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
