Obituary

Leroy Harper, beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, dad and grandpa, passed away Sept. 9, 2014, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.

He was the owner of Harper's IGA stores in Moundridge and Hutchinson and was retired from Amcon Distributing. Leroy and his wife, Janet, recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

In addition to his wife, Leroy is survived by eight children, 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, a daughter and a great-grandchild. Leroy was loved by his family and many old friends and will be missed always. Catch You Later, Cowboy.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held per Leroy's wishes. Friends may sign the book in his memory from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson KS 67501.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
