Obituary

Jimmie E. Latham, 69, died Nov. 23, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 13, 1943, in Hutchinson, to Lewis Andrew and Margureite Elizabeth (Lyman) Latham.

Jimmie graduated from Hutchinson High School, served in the National Guards, and was a machinist at Eaton Corporation. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.

He married Marilyn Chick. She preceded him in death in 1968. He then married Rosemary Regina Rohling on July 10, 1969, in Haven. She survives. Other survivors include: children, Steve Latham and wife Rosemary of Kingman, David Emert of Colorado Springs, Colo., Julie Teel and husband Aaron, Jason Latham and wife Carla and sister, Phyllis Kerschner, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Glen Latham and wife Violet of Little River, Lewis Latham and wife Bobbie of Hutchinson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with military honors conducted by the Kansas National Guard. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with family to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to St. Teresa's Catholic Church or American Heart Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
