ABBYVILLE – Joan Carol "Joanie" Loudenback, 84, died Nov. 22, 2016, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born May 15, 1932, in Abbyville, to Joseph J. and Vesta (Bridgeman) Gagnebin.

Joanie graduated from Abbyville High School in 1950 and Hutchinson Community College in 1952. She drove a bus for Fairfield schools for 28 years and was a homemaker. Joanie was a member of Abbyville Community Church.

On Oct. 26, 1952, she married Richard Dean "Dick" Loudenback at Abbyville. They recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. He survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Debra Kay Barnes of Abbyville, Cynthia Andrews (Richard) of California, Candy Miller (Scott) of Hutchinson; son, Chad (Kristi) of Hutchinson; brother, Jack Gagnebin (Sharon) of Abbyville; grandchildren, Tanda Barnes, Toby Barnes (Krista), Jeremy Stauffacher (Lacy), Mallory Loudenback, Chase Loudenback, Chad Andrews, Addisyn Loudenback; and great-grandchildren, Payton Barnes, Parker Barnes and Owen Stauffacher. She was preceded in death by: her parents and sisters, Marilyn and Alice Nadine Gagnebin.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at Abbyville Community Church, with Pastor Dale Levering officiating. Burial will follow in Abbyville Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
