MOLINE, Ill. - Joanne Kinzie, 82, died Oct. 12, 2013, at her home in Moline, Illinois. She was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Lawton, Okla., the daughter of L.Z. "Babe" and Stella May (Cornstubble) Stewart.

Joanne graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1949 and Hutchinson Community College in 1961. She was a retired administrative assistant for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Joanne loved to crochet and had a great love of animals, especially her dog, Ginger.

On May 22, 1950 she married Robert W. Kinzie in Hutchinson. He died Dec. 27, 1994.

Survivors include: a daughter, Gail Brewster and husband Bill of East Moline, Ill.; three grandsons, Jacob, Curtis, and Billy Brewster, all of Sarasota, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Rodney Kinzie; and two sisters, Cornelia Stedham and Norma Peterson.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
