Joe N. Miller, 74, died March 3, 2009, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
He was born April 22, 1934, in Yoder, the son of Noah J. and Clara Mae Yoder Miller.
He retired as business manager in 1984 after 22 years of service at Midwest Iron and Metal. He was a former car salesman at Sutton Motors and Laird Noller, and had worked in hardware sales at Colladay Hardware.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a former member of the board of directors at Central Kansas Credit Union, and former school board member for Trinity High School.
On April 26, 1958, he married Judith Ann Alexander, in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Michael and wife Wendy, Nickerson and John and wife Jennifer, Wichita; daughter, Kimberly Eng and husband Frank, Sanford, N.C.; brother, Felty, Hutchinson; sisters, Katie Miller, Esther Nisly and Clara Mae Miller, all of Hutchinson, Polly Yoder, Burrton, Mary Ellen Yoder, Parsons, and Irene Yoder, South Hutchinson; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harley, David, and Melvin Miller, and two sisters, Edna Yoder and Nora Nisly.
Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor George D. Hinton. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the mortuary, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association or Crohns and Colitis Foundation or the American Heart Association, in care of the mortuary.
