Joetta is survived by two children; Connie Fabian-Isaacs of Tulsa Ok, and Dr. William Fabian of Hutchinson; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, William F. Preston, Hutchinson, Dr. David Preston, Lake Jackson, Tx, and Richard Preston of Virginia Beach, Va; one sister, Hazel Fry, Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville O. and Alice Preston; first husband, William Fabian, and second husband, Conrad E. (Pete) Isaacs; three sisters, Waneeta Marshall, Mary Goddard, and Alta Mae Altizer; one brother, Orville A. Preston.
Among Joetta's many accomplishments, was her untiring work and assistance she provided seniors at the Delos V. Smith Senior Citizen's Center for over six years being a helper and beading instructor. For several years, she was a dog groomer and ran her own grooming salon. She was a loving and caring mother, wife, and sister. When her oldest brother became very ill, she took him in and provided the care he needed for a successful recovery. Just one example demonstrating how caring and compassionate she was. She was an amazing artist and once won an award from Dow Chemical for a painting of a doe and her fawn.
Joetta always welcomed family members for a visit, as she provided fun and inclusive entertainment, and, being a great cook, all enjoyed the times around her table.
Joetta will be greatly missed by everyone acquainted with her.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Elliott Chapel with Dr. David Preston presiding. Her register book will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, Joetta's family suggests a donation in her name be given to either to the Delos V Smith Senior Center, the ASPCA or the American Cancer Society, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
