Johannah "Johnnie" Becker, 84, died April 27, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. She was born March 23, 1930, in Wichita, KS. Johannah graduated from Wichita North High School and then later Stephens College, Columbia, MO, and the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS. She retired from USD 308 Media Center, but the job she enjoyed the most was being a grandmother. Johannah was a member of First Congregational Church and she volunteered for Victory in the Valley.

Survivors include: a son, Mark R. Becker and wife Penny, Hutchinson, daughters, Janet J. Bland, Tucson, AZ., and Kathryn N. Becker, Miami, FL.; four grandsons, Gustav R. Bland and Samuel B. Bland, both of Tucson, AZ, Michael T. Becker and Dylan R. Becker, both of Hutchinson, KS; and a great grandson, Ruger Bland of Tucson, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay R. Johnson and Dorris A. (Meshke) Johnson Brewer.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at First Congregational Church, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. A private inurnment will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and until service at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
