WINDSOR, Va. - John Ingram Brewer, 82, of Windsor, Va., passed away Aug. 15, 2012.
He was born May 26, 1930, in Norton, Kan., the son of the late Maurine Sands Brewer and John Willard Brewer.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Beverly Brewer.
John was a veteran having served in the National Guard during the Korean War. He later went on to work and retired after 32 years as a car-man for the Santa Fe Burlington Railroad. He was a member of the Zuni Presbyterian Church in Zuni, Va. He was also a member of the N.A.R.V.E. and the VFW in Hutchinson, Kan.
John is survived by his wife of 13 years, Diana Lee Brewer; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Patricia Brewer, and Gregory Brewer of Hutchinson; stepchildren, David, Catherine, Susan, and Michelle all of Virginia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, James Brewer of Texas.
Memorial graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bones Nay officiating. Friends may sign his register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
