John L. Cooney's Obituary
John L. Cooney, 95, died Nov. 30, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Sept. 13, 1914, in Kane, Pa., to John L. and Catherine A. Daly Cooney, Sr.
He was a resident of Hutchinson since 1960. While living in Pennsylvania, he was a mechanical engineer with the Strutner-Wells Corporation and in Hutchinson he was the owner of the Dyna-Kleen Services.
He was an avid bowler and a member of the Silver Toppers Bowling League.
On May 30, 1982, he married Anita T. Cochran in Hutchinson. She died Dec. 24, 1999.
Survivors include: sons, Timothy J., Summerville, Pa., Christopher R., Fisher, Pa., and David G., San Antonio; daughter, Carolyn E. Langston, Mountain Home, Ark.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
At his request there will be no local services. A private family graveside will be in Vandervort Cemetery, Summerville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Visit www.elliottmortuary.com to leave personal condolences for the family.
