Jerome "Jerry" Weber, 86, died Dec. 15, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born March 12, 1929, in Great Bend, to William and Lola (Gibbs) Weber.
He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1954, and went to work at Payne Ratner Law Firm, of Wichita, for a short time. Jerry then became a claims adjuster for Allstate, before moving to Hutchinson and working for his father-in-law's construction company, NF English Construction. He bought the Hutchinson Coca-Cola Bottling Company in 1968, which he managed until selling and retiring in 1975. After retirement, Jerry remained an active investor.
On Oct. 15, 1955, he married Mora Lee English in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: sons, Bill Weber (Lori) of Houston, Texas, Joe Weber (Christina) of Wichita, Terry Weber (Jen Chareton) of Lawrence; daughter, Laurie Carr (Arlen) of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Weber, and a sister, Mary Lousie Falen.
Parish Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, with Father Ned J. Blick and Father Roger Lumbre presiding. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
