John Francis Ojeda, 98, died Dec. 20, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born March 14, 1912, in Greensburg, to Arnulfo and Francisca Ojeda. He was a retired supervisor for H&N Railroad.
On Oct. 10, 1937, he married Elizabeth C. Caudillo in Hutchinson. She died Oct. 12, 2006. Survivors include: sons, George, Hutchinson, Rick, Wichita and Joseph "Tony," Hutchinson; a daughter, Rose Mary Ojeda, Hutchinson; a brother, Vernon, Hutchinson; sisters, Virginia and Hazel, both of Kansas City; and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Ojeda Jr.; a daughter, Juanita Ojeda; a brother, Paul Ojeda; and sisters, Ramona Rodriguez and Ruth Castor.
Parish Rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
