John H. Randall, 87, died July 21, 2011 at his home, Hutchinson. He was born November 24, 1923, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Harold and Lucille Wilson Randall.
John graduated from Henning High School, Henning, IL in 1941. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Army from 43-46. John worked for his dad at Randall Paint Shop, then later for the Forestry Service at Apache Junction, Arizona. Upon moving to Hutchinson he worked for Eaton Corp. and later ran, Vintage Angler, a repair shop for fishing tackle. He was a member of ORCA, Old Reel Collectors Association and the NLFC, National Lure Fishing Club.
In June of 1943 he married Barbara Jean Queck, they later divorced. Survivors include; two sons, John H. Randall II of Alvin, IL and Mike Randall of Oakwood, IL, two brothers; Charles Randall of Louisville, KY, Jerry Randall of Sun City, AZ; sisters, Joann Fitzsimmons and husband Chuck of Danville, IL, Pat Randolph and husband Rollin of Payson, AZ; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Catherine Randall and Margaret A. King, four brothers, Herbert, Tom, Gene and Bob Randall and three great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Howard Wagler presiding. Family will greet friends 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday or you may sign the book 9-9 today, Monday and until service Tuesday. Cremation has taken place.
