John B. Robl, 70, died August 1, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1943, to Alvin Andrew and Martha Irene (Link) Robl in Hutchinson. John worked as a parts manager for John Deere for many years and later retired from Lowe's.
He married Linda Brown on Dec. 14, 1971, in Salina, Kan. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Marcketta Wheeler and husband Greg of Wellington, Brenda Lansaw and companion Joe Klinkerman of Hutchinson; a brother, Martin Robl and wife Judy of Lyons; a sister, Norma Higgins and husband Raymond of Lyons; sister-in-law, Judith David and husband Jerry of Texas; brothers-in law, Marion Brown and wife Maggie of Nevada, Burch Brown and wife Agnes of Connecticut, Bethel Brown and wife Penny of Texas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alvin Robl.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Friends Church, 1200 E. 14th, Hutchinson, with Gary Getting presiding. The family requests wearing your favorite Nascar apparel or casual dress. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutcinson. Memorials may be made to the John B.
