John E. Woody, 62, passed away July 19, 2022, at his home.  He was born April 7, 1960, in Pratt, to Edward James Woody and Norma Sivils.

John graduated from Pratt High School in 1979.   He worked alongside his father and brother, Junior in the oil fields. In addition, John worked in construction by building homes while he resided in Missouri. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

John is survived by:  two daughters, Heather Stovall and Jonilyn Woody, both of Topeka; sisters, Judy Cline of Great Bend, Becky Stringfellow of Hutchinson, Canda Johnson (Greg) of Chase County, KS, and Amy Cherry of Williston, ND; brothers, Edward (Junior)Woody, Jim Woody (Shandra), all of Pratt; and Jack Woody of Cape Fair, MO; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Cremation has taken place, and John's wishes were for no service.  Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
