Joseph Willard Pisano, 38, went to sing with the angels and be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 4, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center. He was born March 22, 1973, in Wichita, to Joseph John and Dorothy Ann (Reger) Pisano.

Joseph earned his GED in 1990 then graduated from Kansas State University in 1994, and Hutchinson Community College in 2010. He was a loving registered nurse at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility. Joseph was a member of CrossPoint Baptist Church.

He married the love of his life, Jennifer Kay Detter, on Oct. 27, 2001, in Hutchinson. He was a devoted Christian, husband and father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for others. Survivors include: his wife, Jennifer Pisano and two daughters, Kristen and Zoey, all of the home; mother, Dorothy Reger, Hutchinson; brother, Vincent Pisano and wife Beth, Hutchinson; niece, Ally Pisano, Hutchinson; four nephews, Matt Pisano and Elijah Pisano, both of Hutchinson, Antonio Santiago and Casey Lockman, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Michelle Lockman and Ashley Detter, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; father-in-law, Brad Detter and wife Barb, Hutchinson; mother-in-law, Lisa Dewberry and husband Jim, Raymore, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He also left behind many wonderful friends.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph John Pisano and his grandfather, Joseph Pisano.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Joseph's Life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at CrossPoint Baptist Church, Westbrook Campus, with Pastor Andy Addis officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Joseph Pisano Children's Education Fund, in care of the mortuary.
