Josephine E. "Jo" Jobes, 97, died March 21, 2011, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
She was born July 14, 1913, in Arlington, Kansas, the daughter of Walter and Ella Burnett Stull.
Jo graduated from Arlington High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
On Nov. 27, 1944, she married Charles Jobes in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 21, 1982.
Survivors include: a daughter, Connie McProud and husband David of Hutchinson; three granddaughters, Michelle Stoecklein and husband Denny of Hutchinson, Sarah Corcoran and husband Patrick of Hutchinson, and Emily McProud of Kansas City, Mo.; four great-grandsons, Jordan and Ryan Stoecklein, and Wyatt and Eli Corcoran. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother, and a sister, Nina Eash.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, in Fairlawn Burial Park with Pastor Jeanine I. Rishel presiding. Friends may call 9 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to noon Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
