Josephine Anne "JoAnne" White, 74, died Nov. 29, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 6, 1937, in Gordon, Kan., to Gabriel and Climena (Clingman) Zanardi.

JoAnne graduated from Augusta High School and worked for Pegues Department Store. She was a member at Church of the Holy Cross where she was very active in the Ladies Altar Society and Adoration Hour. She was in the Treble Clef Music Club and after her husband's death she was involved in the Post-Polio Survivors Group. JoAnne had an avid passion for all sports and could easily talk about them to anyone.

On Aug. 17, 1957, she married Joseph E. "Joe" White in Augusta. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2011. In the last year JoAnne greatly missed her husband of 54 years. She is survived by: son, Timothy J. White and wife Tammi of Lake Alfred, Fla.; daughters, Paula Richardson and husband Mark of Hutchinson, Diane Fast and husband Don of Newton; grandchildren, Joseph T. White, Ross L. Richardson; four step grandchildren, Jeff Fast and wife Karen, Amanda Wurth, Sammy Welch, Ember Burns; four step great-grandchildren, Kolbie Rae King, Jennifer Fast, Katelyn Fast, Hayden Wurth; mother, Climena Zanardi of Augusta; and sister, Mary Catherine Kennedy and husband William, both of Augusta. JoAnne was preceded in death by her father.

Parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Rd., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m., with Father Joseph Eckberg officiating. Inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
