Josephine L. Stecklein's Obituary
Josephine L. Stecklein, 84, died Aug. 31, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born April 9, 1922, in Liebenthal, the daughter of John Peter and Rose Schaffer Legleiter. She graduated from Lie-benthal High Sch-ool. A Hutchinson resident since 1957, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson.
On May 25, 1943, she married Frank Clarence Stecklein in Liebenthal. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Gary L., and Daniel P. and wife, Gail, Hutchinson; a sister, Sally Carey, Topeka; and a grandson, Daniel P. Jr., Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Jacob, Paul, Vincent, Mike, Patrick and Wendeline Legleiter; and three sisters, infant Celestine Legleiter, and Cecilia Kreutzer and Albertine Kreutzer.
Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Stuart M. Smeltzer presiding. Rosary will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, all at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children Hospital, in care of the mortuary, Hutchinson. Personal condolences may be sent to www.elliottmortuary.com.
