Obituary

Josh Peak, 30, of Hutchinson, died July 4, 2019, at his home.  He was born May 12, 1989, in Hutchinson, to Jason Peak and Mendy (Glass) Peak.

Josh attended Buhler High School, and received his diploma in 2008.  He then joined the United States Marine Corps where Josh served for almost five years, retiring as a Corporal in 2013. Josh was currently employed as an I/E Technician for ONEOK.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, working on cars, and racing cars.

On May 30, 2015, he married Courtney Marie Baker in Hutchinson.

Josh is survived by:  wife, Courtney; children, Rylee and Jace Peak; stepson, Jacob Friesen, all of Hutchinson; father, Jason Peak; mother, Mendy (Glass) Peak; brother, Brian Glass (Sarah); sister, Natasha Glass; in-laws, Bobbi Latham and her husband Lewis, William Baker and his wife Donna Fulham Collis; sister-in-law, Tracy Simmons; brothers-in-law, Travis Jones (Christy Wood), Eric Baker; grandparents, Nancy and Gary Peak; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends from all over the United States.

He was preceded in death by:  great-grandparents, Gerald F. 'Buddy' Glass, Peggy A. Elliott, Jack C. and Lorena 'Bert' Elliott, Harley and Pearl Glass; and brother-in-law, Greg Simmons.

Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, at First United Methodist Church, 101 E. 1st Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Mic McGuire officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps.  Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Wednesday through Friday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peak Children Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
