Joyce Virginia Beard's Obituary
Joyce Virginia Beard, 61, died March 4, 2013, at her home in Hutchinson.
She was born Jan. 12, 1952, in Dodge City, to Cloyce J. and Mary V. (Myers) Beard.
Joyce graduated from Minneola High School in 1970, and graduated from Central College and Sidney's Hairdressing College.
She is survived by: son, Christopher Beard of Hutchinson; mother, Mary V. Beard of Minneola; siblings, Philip Beard and wife Eileen of Lawrence, Marsha Stroade and husband Jack of Manhattan, John Beard and wife Liz of Minneola; grandson, Simon Beard; nine nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her father.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Minneola Community Church, Minneola, Kan., with Reverend Robert Ulrich officiating. Inurnment will be in Minneola Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
