BURRTON - Joyce Elaine Boyle-King, 69, died Feb. 14, 2011 at her home in Burrton.
She was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Salina, the daughter of Jc William and Mabel Florence Johnson Pedersen.
A 1959 graduate of Nickerson High School, she belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, Newton and was a retired cabinet craftsman.
On Nov. 6, 1993, she married Doyle Eugene King in Hutchinson. He died Feb. 21, 2003.
Survivors include: a son, Jeffery Eric Boyle of Burrton; daughter, Julie Elaine Hamilton and husband Clint of Dallas, Texas; brother, Jim Pedersen and wife Kara of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Nathalie Schlatter and husband Russell of Inman; grandchildren, Joseph Boyle, Kyle Boyle, and Krista Boyle, all of Burrton and Nolan Hamilton and Lucas Hamilton, both of Dallas, Texas; four step-children and eight step-grandchildren; and ex-husband, Milton Boyle. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Jc and Mabel Pedersen.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the First Christian Church of Burrton, with Chaplain Bob Phipps and Pastor Travis Heneha presiding and an Order of Eastern Star service.
Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, Burrton Consolidated Fire Department #5, or the First Christian Church, all in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
