Joyce Ann Caley, 64, died at her favorite "home away from home" (the Nickerson sandpit), May 21, 2022.  She was born May 19, 1958, in Kingman, to Charles Junior and Mary Margaret (Sheahan) Horton.

Joyce graduated from Nickerson High School in 1976.  She worked a variety of jobs, from Arrow Machine to Electrex to selling Home Interiors, before opening her own home daycare. Joyce enjoyed crafting, spending time at the Nickerson sandpit, and being with her family. She never went anywhere without a Diet Coke or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups nearby!

On November 22, 1980, she married Larry Caley, in Hutchinson.

Joyce is survived by:  her husband of over 41 years, Larry; daughters, Amber Patterson (Travis), Alyse Caley (Kris Smith), all of Hutchinson, and Larissa Kujavo (Mat) of Brazil; siblings, Betty Rohling (Leon) of Nickerson, Bill Horton (Jennifer) of IA, and Chuck Horton (Cheryl) of ID; grandchildren, Wyatt, Madysin, Laryssa, Kordell, Caleb, and McKenzie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and bonus children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Tytus.

Cremation has taken place.  Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Stokely officiating.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with the family to receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.  Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
